This is our favorite recipe that my mother used to make when we were kids and when special guests stayed over. It beings back so many memories and I would love to share it with you.
We use everything as fresh as can be and trust me, it makes a world of difference with your recipes.
3 large eggs
6 slices fresh white bread, we use thick sliced bread
⅓ cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
a pinch of brown sugar
In a large bowl, beat the eggs and then stir in the vanilla, milk, brown sugar and cinnamon
Cover both sides of your fresh white bread with your mixture
On medium heat melt some butter to slightly cover your frying pan
Add your covered bread and let them cook on each side until golden brown
Serve with butter, pure maple syrup and jam if desired
